more than fashion

Last week I visited an exhibition in a museum in Vienna.
It was about Katarina Noever who worked as a model in the sixties.
Noever presents her closet, beautiful pieces and her flair for art and fashion.
She called the exhibition "MORE THAN FASHION".

Katarina Noever herself.

Just a few dresses from the exhibition.

MISSONI.

Shoes, hats, gloves and scarves.

There I met a group of ladies, who visited the exhibition together.
They were all about seventy years old and know
these dresses very well because they wore them at the same time.
Swinging sixties.

Salzburg

Salzburg is a nice city in the Alps of Austria. It is the city of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and the city of the Austrian bavarian style, we call it Dirndl. And I have been to Salzburg with my mother to know the city better and to enjoy our easter holidays. There I have seen some nice places I would like to show you.

At the cake shop Fürst we ate the best Mozart Balls ever!

At the Cafe/Bistro/Bar Central in the Lederergasse 10
we had a great and delicious diner in the
beautiful sunset and a mild spring evening.

Then we met some great street musiscians.
They made the city alive.

A few scenes from the city.

A walk through the garden of the castle Mirabell.

And also in Salzburg the spring has already arrived.

Then we discovered a great art gallery.
The temporary exhibition is from the artist called Wulf Treu.

And last but not least we walked trough the famous Getreidegasse for some shopping.

We found that amazing Dirdl-store called Madl, which is an other word for girl in the Austrian language.
They had amazing dresses and I did not want to leave the nice shop.

STYLE

Is style buyable? Do you have to spend a lot of money to have style?
Are brands and labels that important to show how stylish you are?
Or is it pure elegance, grace and class what actually seems to make us chic and stylish?

Summer in apricot

This summer nearly everyone has a piece in this color. Olivia Palermo, Emma Stone, Kate Bosworth, Sienna Miller and many more. We can find the color in every shop and in every ladies closet. Some call it light orange. Others call it apricot. And I call it the color of spring and summer 2012. Looks amazing in the city and natural in the country. Apricot is easy to combine with other colors and goes with everything.

ZARA.

ZARA.

American Apparel.

                                     Olivia Palermo.                                              Kate Bosworth.

                                     Sienne Miller.                                        Emma Stone.

The combination with mint is very courageous.
